Kim Jong Un Attends Concert and Photo-op with Children’s Union Conference Participants

DPRK state media reported that Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) attended a concert on Wednesday (6 June) of the U’nhasu Orchestra entitled “Love the Future” given on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean Children’s Union [KCU], which was held after the KCU’s anniversary conference.  In addition to the reported attendance list, KJU was joined at the concert by Jang Song Taek, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Tae Bok VMar Kim Yong Chun, Gen. Hyon Chol Hae, Gen. Pak Jae Gyong, Gen. Kim Kyong Ok, Gen. Yun Jong Rin, Kwon Hyok Bong, Han Kwang Sang and Jon Il Chun.  KCNA reports:

The dear respected Kim Jong Un appeared in the auditorium together with exemplary members of KCU.

He congratulated the KCU delegates to the celebrations of its anniversary and extended warm greetings to them.

Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Yong Ho and other senior party, state and army officials and officials of the party and armed forces organs and the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the KCU delegates.

The concert began with the playing of the national anthem. Its repertoire included mixed sextet and chorus “You Are the Future of the Country”, male solo and chorus “The Path Leading to Mt. Paektu”, chorus “We Live under the Embrace of the Leader” and female solo and chorus “Warm Is Love of the Country.”

The performers sang high praises of the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who provided and glorified the glorious tradition of the Juche-based children’s movement with their noble outlook on the rising generation and recorded an epic of love in which the children enjoy all blessings as the kings of the country.

Put on the stage were female trio and juvenile chorus of immortal masterpiece “Song of Korea”, female solo and juvenile chorus “Where Do You Come Up to”, juvenile chorus “Song of Children’s Guerrilla”, female trio “The General’s Love” and female chorus and chorus “Our Father.” The peculiar numbers presented by artistes of the Unhasu Orchestra and schoolchildren stirred up the atmosphere of the concert.

The concert reached its climax when they staged its epilogue juvenile chorus “Let’s Learn for Korea”, poem and song “Love the Future” and chorus “March of Children’s Union.”

As the concert was over, Kim Jong Un waved to the performers and audience and congratulated the performers on their successful performance.

The concert instilled into the whole audience the iron faith that the future of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il’s Korea will always be bright and rosy under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, who is carving out a new history of attaching importance to the younger generation with the sunrays.

Kim Jong Un also attended a commemorative photo session with participants in the KCU anniversary conference.  KCNA reports:

Present at the session were senior party, state and army officials Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Yong Ho, Kim Kyong Hui, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Mun Kyong Dok and Ri Yong Su and First Secretary Jon Yong Nam and other secretaries of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League.

When Kim Jong Un arrived at the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, more than 20 000 delegates broke into cheers “Hurrah!”

He, his face beaming with a broad smile, waved his hand to the delegates jumping with excitement.

KCU members presented bouquets to him.

He had a photo session with the delegates after extending warm salute to all KCU members across the country.

He expressed expectation and belief that the KCU members, who will play a main role in the future, would fully prepare themselves as able revolutionary talents and pillars of thriving Korea, knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy.
