DPRK Ambassador Presents Credentials to President of Iceland

DPRK Ambassador Pak Kwang Chol (Pak Kwang-ch’o’l) presented his letter of credence to the President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson in Reykjavik on 2 October.  Pak is resident DPRK Ambassador to Sweden and Iceland is one of his six nonresident missions.  According to the Office of the President of Iceland, during the meeting Grímsson and Pak discussed “discussed Iceland’s experience in fisheries and geothermal energy” and how about development training programs available through United Nations University program within the Icelandic Development Corporation.  According to KCNA, Grímsson “wished the DPRK successes in its efforts for improving the people’s well-being and achieving the socio-economic development, expressing the belief that the friendly relations between the two countries would continue to grow on good terms.”
