Supreme People’s Assembly to Convene on 25 September

DPRK state media reported on 5 September (Wednesday) that the DPRK’s unicameral legislature, the Supreme People’s Assembly [SPA] will convene its 6th session (plenum; plenary meeting) at Mansudae Assembly Hall on Tuesday, 25 September 2012. According to KCNA, “The Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly Monday made public a decision on convening a session of the Supreme People’s Assembly.” The 5th session of the 12th SPA was held on Friday 13 April 2012. During that session, the DPRK Constitution was amended and a series of personnel changes made to the National Defense Commission and DPRK Cabinet.
