DPRK state media reported on 27 November (Tuesday) that Minister of People’s Security, Gen. Ri Myong Su, met with Mongolia’s Minister of Justice, Temuujin Khishigdemberel, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang. Attending the meeting were Ministry of People’s Security [MPS] Councilor and External Affairs Department Director Ri Song Chol, other MPS officials, Mongolian Ministry of Justice officials and representatives of the Mongolian Embassy in the DPRK. According KCNA, during the meeting “the two sides exchanged views on the issue of further developing the exchange and cooperation between security organs of the two countries and matters of mutual concern.” After the meeting, a cooperation agreement between the DPRK National Defense Commission and Mongolia’s Ministry of Justice was signed by Ri Myong Su, on behalf of the DPRK, and Temuujin Khishigdemberel, on behalf of Mongolia. On 26 November (Monday), DPRK state media reported that the Mongolian delegation paid their respects at the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in central Pyongyang. The Mongolian delegation also presented a gift to Kim Jong Un.
It is again worthy of note that the North Korean security leaders are dressed in civilian clothing and not in military uniforms. I sense that under Kim Jong Un, the party is again in charge
