DPRK state media reported on 10 December (Monday) that the Korea Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Committee completed an agreement with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission. A ceremony for signing the memorandum of understanding between the DPRK and Nigerian organizations was held on 10 December. It was attended by the Korea Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Committee Vice Chairman and Vice Minister of Agriculture Ri Sok Chol and Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Executive Secretary Mustapha Bello, as well as Nigerian Ambassador to the DPRK Nwofe Alexander and Nigerian embassy staff.
The Nigerian delegation arrived in the DPRK on 7 December (Friday) and delivered floral bouquets to the Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il statues on Mansu Hill in central Pyongyang. On 9 December (Sunday) DPRK state media reported that the Nigerian delegation visited Kim Il Sung’s birthplace and childhood home in Mangyo’ngdae and also toured the Chuch’e Tower (Tower of the Juche Idea) and the International Friendship Exhibition.
