DPRK state media reported on 31 July (Wednesday) that Premier Pak Pong Ju visited two cooperative farms in So’ngch’o’n County, South P’yo’ngan Province. Pak visited the “township cooperative farm” where he “he encouraged the agricultural workers there who are making efforts to do good farming despite bad weather during the rainy season.” He held a meeting with local officials and farm employees which “referred to the successes being made by the farm in its efforts to increase the grain production and discussed practical measures for boosting the per-hectare yield.” Pak Pong Ju also visited Taebong Cooperative Farm. According to KCNA Pak “called on the agricultural workers to fulfill their duty with a strong sense of responsible for farming.” He was briefed about the farm’s usage of fertilizer and he “underlined the need to boost the production of quality organic fertilizer, give full play to the advantages of the sub-workteam management system and thus raise the enthusiasm of the farmers and boost the grain production. “
