DPRK state media reported on April 21 (Thursday) that the South Hamgyo’ng, North Hwanghae and Raso’n Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] provincial party conferences took place. The party conferences were attended by delegates (party representatives) elected by basic party organizations and city/county party conferences within the provinces. Chief Secretary of the South Hamgyo’ng WPK Provincial Committee T’ae Jong Su, Chief Secretary of the North Hwanghae WPK Provincial Committee Pak T’ae Dok and Chief Secretary of the Raso’n WPK City Committee Rim Kyong Man read out reports at their respective party conferences.
Party conference speakers discussed “the tasks for further strengthening the party organizations and enhancing their functions and roles as required by the developing reality when the revolutionary cause of Chuch’e enters its leaping stage.” The party conferences were briefed about the work of the provincial party committees and the provincial party auditing commissions.” The party conferences elected their respective provincial party committees and provincial party auditing commissions, then nominated delegates and observers to the 7th Party Congress.

Party conference speakers endorsed the nomination of Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) to the party congress and “expressed their determinations to dynamically advance along the road of the Chuch’e revolution while absolutely believing and following only Kim Jong Un.” Jong Un’s nomination was unanimously approved. Then 7th Party Congress delegates and observers representing South Hamgyo’ng, North Hwanghae and Raso’n were nominated and elected.
DPRK state media reported on April 22 (Friday) that the North P’yo’ngan, North Hamgyo’ng and Namp’o Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] party conferences were held, attended by delegates (party representatives) elected by basic party organizations and city/county party conferences held in the provinces. The party conferences paid tribute to Kim Il Sung (Kim Il-so’ng) and Kim Jong Il (Kim Cho’ng-il) then elected their platform participants.

The party conferences were briefed about the work of provincial party committees. Chief Secretary of the North P’yo’ngan Provincial WPK Committee Kim Nung O, Chief Secretary of the North Hamgyo’ng Provincial WPK Committee Jon Sung Hun and Chief Secretary of the Namp’o City WPK Committee Kang Yang Mo delivered reports. The party conferences “unanimously called on party organizations at all levels to conduct ceaseless political and ideological work to give full play to the mental power of the party members and other working people all out in the day-and-night 70-day campaign and thus significantly greet the Seventh Congress of the WPK with the honor of being victors.”

The party conferences “discussed and decided the tasks for enhancing the militant function and role of party organizations to thoroughly establish the party’s monolithic leadership system and make great innovations and leaps forward in all fields and units.” The party conferences were briefed about the work of the provincial party auditing commissions and then elected members of the provincial party committees. Then, they nominated delegates and observers to the party congress.
