Kim Jong Un Attends GFTUK Photo-op

DPRK state media reported on October 30 (Sunday) that Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) attended a commemorative photo-op with participants in the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea [GFTUK] 7th Congress in front of the Ku’msusan Memorial Palace of the Sun.  Also in attendance were Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Vice Chairman for Workers’ and Social Organizations and State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman Choe Ryong Hae [Ch’oe Ryong-hae], WPK Vice Chairman and Director of Propaganda and Agitation Kim Ki Nam [Kim Ki-nam] and WPK Workers’ and Social Organizations’ Department Ri Il Hwan [Ri Il-hwan].

Jong Un “congratulates the participants in the Congress who dedicated their blood and sweat to the cause of building a powerful socialist state out of patriotism and contributed to strengthening the trade union organizations firmly believing only in the WPK.”  He posed for commemorative photographs and expressed his “expectation and belief that the participants in the congress would become core members and pacesetters in the general drive achieving the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Chuch’e and fulfill their honorable responsbility before the era and the revolution.”
