DPRK state media reported that on January 2, 2017 (Monday) State Affairs Commission vice chair and DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju toured the February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine in the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex “alive with increased coal production in the New Year Day’s campaign.” During his tour, “he learned in detail about production and encouraged the coal miners to achieve bigger successes in their drive.”
During the consultative meeting, they “discussed measures for focusing efforts on giving definite precedence to tunneling and providing equipment and materials for production in good time.”
