DPRK state media reported on 24 February that Premier Pak Pong Ju visited the Taedonggang Building Materials Factory and toured industrial sites in Hamhu’ng, South Hamgyo’ng Province. Pak toured Hu’ngnam Fertilizer Complex, the 8 February Vinalon Complex and the Ryongso’ng Machine Complex. Pak was briefed on the “production of Chuch’e fertilizer, Chuch’e vinalon and ordered equipment in the complexes.” He held meetings with factory managers and officials which, according to KCNA, “stressed the need to bring about innovations by keeping the production going at a high rate in the complexes” and “discussed the measures to increase the production by conducting management of equipment and technological control scrupulously, and for relevant units to satisfactorily supply raw and other materials.” Pak Pong Ju also visited Hu’ngsang Ceramics Factory where he toured production facilities. At a meeting where he consulted with factory managers, Pak “underscored the need to fully produce bricks needed for the construction of the stockbreeding base now under way in the area of Sep’o.”
